Daily physical activity is the rock-solid foundation of this pyramid. While you may not be sweating it out in the vineyards everyday or pressing grapes barefoot with your neighbors — as the natives did over 30 years ago — you might consider walking to get your bottle of dinner wine. In fact, since these folks typically spent a good part of their day doing physical labor, you may want to consider walking everywhere. The USDA recommends that adults be physically active for at least 30 minutes on most, if not all, days of the week.
