The Terriers Take the Opener

In the season opener against Tufts, the Terriers started out with a slow start but ended up putting runs on the board in the 1st, 5th, and 6th innings, taking the opener 6-1. Sophomore David Luna got the opening day start, and threw five innings of three hit ball, giving up one run, striking out eight. Kevin O’Sullivan made his Terrier debut on the mound striking out four in his two scoreless innings of work.

Offensively the Terriers had a widespread attack with five different players scoring the six runs. Sophomore first baseman Stephen Lyne, in his first action coming off Tommy John surgery went 2-3 to lead the balanced attack. Sophomore Ross Zamparelli also had two hits including a double and a Run Batted In.
